Today we're announcing a $1,0000 Non-Fiction Story Telling Contest called Braddock Hospital: Documenting Loss.

As a result of a settlement of a formal Complaint in connection with the closing of Braddock Hospital filed by Braddock Borough President Jesse Brown at the US Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Civil Rights, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) will be offering a number of health care services to residents in the 15104 and 15112 zip codes.

UPMC will be sending notices to residents explaining these services. The Save Our Community Hospitals (SOCH) organization would like to know if you have any difficulties accessing these services.
